Internship Opportunities

The internship programme at Walk DVRC offers a wide variety of experience and training for individuals to learn more about placemaking and making a city more walkable and liveable. 

Participants will gain practical experience in urban planning & design, public realm & landscape design, community planning, community outreach strategy etc. In particular, participants will have an active role in the preparation stage of research work and organizing community outreach activities.

Application is open all year round and the minimum work period is 30 days. Although this is an unpaid opportunity, the internship is a rewarding and valuable experience as it offers active participation in community-based city planning, as well as exposure to a number of important stakeholders and stakeholder groups.  We accept applications from all participants that wish to intern with us. We would particularly welcome applicants with the following skills and experience

  • Exposure to planning, urban design, landscape architecture and related fields
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative and innovative thinking
  • AutoCAD / Photoshop / AI
  • Research experience
  • Social media exposure
  • Photography and video taking experience
